Anna Warren - paintings and drawings

My paintings are based on details of plant forms - the paintings take on a life of their own as they emerge, and often new imagery appears, but always the essence is reminiscent of natural forms, whether human or plant life. Also in the exhibition I will be showing a set of four drawings, inspired by a bunch of tulips gradually drooping and decaying. In the process of dying the flowers begin to look like other forms - there is a transformation from life to death to new life.

3 D Works - Margaret Westcott

I have been working in ceramics for just over 2 years.  Along with 2D works I will be exhibiting  3D female torsos - I have worked small and large.  I have spent nearly two years getting a handle on the proportions and balance.  I have also been working on my Masters and concentrating on Life Drawing and Painting from life.  Naturally all three areas are connected.  I also enjoy the textures of the clay and glazes.  For these pieces I have used dry glazes, pit firing and  naked raku to produce some wonderful finishes.
